The Lockheed PV-1 Ventura was made to be an American naval reconnaissance plane in 1942. Originally designed for the British navy, the Ventura was an advanced design of the Lockheed Hudson plane in service since
1938. It could hold 16% more fuel, more powerful engines, a larger bomb bay, and
an addition of a ventral gun station. Primarily used between the British and US
Navy and Air Force divisions, this airplane made a great impact in the Atlantic
leg of World War II.
The new Omikron Pilot series watches share the names of these mid 20th
century aircraft to remember them and the heroes who flew them. They have also
been made with exclusive Swiss Leschot LM-196 super automatic caliber movements.
A silver white textured dial displays silver Roman numerals and a date window
ever present at the 3 o’clock position. And just like the upgrades on the
original Ventura, this watch provides a modified central dial with the days of
the week offering a watch that’s larger than life.
Limited to only 80 pieces, the Omikron “Ventura” is sure to become an immediate collector’s item.
