The Stinson L-5 Sentinel was designed as a Liaison airplane with enough room for 2 crew and no arms of any kind. Eventually as demand progressed, some Sentinels were built with an additional door was placed on the back to carry stretchers as an air ambulance. Others were used exclusively for observation purposes, spying on enemy sites from above typically with the co-pilot taking photographs.
The Omikron Pilot series watches share the names of these mid 20th century aircraft to remember them and the heroes who flew them.
